problem starting ddd

Hi, I think this is a well-known problem, at least I have seen it asked in several forums, but unfortunately

with no follow-up posts describing a fix.  I am using ddd 3.3 and fortran source compiled

with g77 with the -g flag (as suggested...), I receive the

 

"localdir"/init.c : No such file or directory....

 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
