building ddd-3.3.5

hello,

attempting to build ddd-3.3.5, the make process dies with:

g++ -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -I. -I. -I. -I./.. -isystem /usr/X11R6/include    -DNDEBUG 
-O2 -g -W -Wall -trigraphs  -c -o ddd.o `test -f 'ddd.C' || echo './'`ddd.C

ddd-3.3.1 worked fine. 

i am using gcc-2.95.3.
