I have successfully been using DDD 3.3.7 for a while on my FreeBSD machine. I downloaded DDD 3.3.8 and untarred it. The configure script produced some warnings but no errors. The complete output is attached. These are the warnings that are sent to standard error. configure: WARNING: X11/Xmu/Editres.h: present but cannot be compiled configure: WARNING: X11/Xmu/Editres.h: check for missing prerequisite headers? configure: WARNING: X11/Xmu/Editres.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result configure: WARNING: sys/user.h: present but cannot be compiled configure: WARNING: sys/user.h: check for missing prerequisite headers? configure: WARNING: sys/user.h: proceeding with the preprocessor's result ./../move-if-change: ./../move-if-change: No such file or directory The output from make (and gmake) is quite terse. Making all in libiberty if [ x"" != x ] && [ ! -d pic ]; then mkdir pic; else true; fi touch stamp-picdir make: don't know how to make ./../include/xregex.h. Stop *** Error code 1 Stop in /usr/home/tallman/software/ddd-3.3.8. --------------------------------- I hope this is of some help to you. I have also attached the main Makefile, the one in libiberty and config.h. I have been using this program for several years and am glad to see its being developed again. I am impressed with the improvements you have made. Thanks, Tim
