Does ddrescue have any trouble with NTFS drives with the 'dirty' bit set (http://www.buildorbuy.org/dirtybit.html)?
Ar far as I know, ddrescue can't have any trouble because of the data it is copying; dirty bits, encripted volumes, etc, all look the same to it.
Ddrescue does a bit-for-bit exact copy of its source. So if the copy is corrupted you can be pretty sure that the original is equally corrupted.
