[Bug-ddrescue] Permission denied error

I am trying to copy an entire disk with ddrescue, using the following parameters:
ddrescue /dev/sdc /dev/sdb ddlog.log -d

The result:
ddrescue: cannot open input file: Permission denied

The drive is not mounted, but visible to the partition manager

Please give me some clues what to do.
