I would also like that, especially if it's in a format viewable with
some basic tool similar to zless, xzless, lesspipe, etc. Or, if not,
just well-documented so that such parsing could be really easy for
others.

I can definitely see it as a way to give more clues about what's wrong
with my USB flash drive (from recent "Verify recovered data" thread),
which has super slow reads on most of the
successful-but-still-messed-up-for-some-reason recovery.

BTW, I also support the other possible ideas mentioned in this thread. :)
