Try --skip-size=1M
The default is 64K, but if you've got a large swathe of bad
sectors it's naturally going to languish for a long time in
them doing these smaller 64K jumps. So try 1M, if not, try 1G
There's no way of knowing where the bad zones are going to end,
you cannot predict it.
