Details:
[I don't expect anyone to act on this bug until I provide a way to reproduce
it!]
Sometimes, font-lock stops working, the buffer, or most of it, is colored with
the default color, and whatever I do (other than killing the buffer and
revisiting the file) does not restore it.
Normally, something like running M-x text-mode M-x foo-mode, or M-x
font-lock-fontify-buffer or even just M-x normal-mode fixes font-lock
problems.
