It's difficult to answer because it depends on the operation of C library
of the system. So, the answer is:
"Source file must be a text file of the system."
But this question doesn't seems to be asked Frequently.

At least officially, GLOBAL doesn't support any multi-byte character code set.
So, the answer is:
"GLOBAL doesn't support multi-byte character code set yet."
By the way, do you think multi-byte suppot is needed?
