First of all, I'm going to present myself: My name is Héctor Facundo Arena,
and I'm the moderator of this project.
Thank you very much to the 100 suscriptors-in-one-day-of-life of the mailing
list.
I see you've been talking on database storage systems and information
calatogues. Please remember this, we need to start the project quickly. The
first thing we should do is give a tool to the people to send and article, a
link, a Tutorial, to the encyclopedia.
The encyclopedia will be mainly an HTML index. For example, if someones
searchs for the word 'dog', then the encyclopedia will give two kind of
results: articles and links to other pages (please check www.nupedia.org to
see what I'm talking about). But even the search engine is something we
should implement when the project has really grown.
So I think we should discuss that first thing. How do we get the articles?
via email? public ftp? a web-script?
