Hi Jean-Daniel,

Ideally I wouldn't have anyone manually generating XML at any level...
But in terms of the 2nd level tagging, certainly the *values*
associated with the tags can only be manually identified. I'm think of
things like document status (how far it's through the review process),
reviewer names, rating scores, addtional cross-linking that an editor
may add (e.g. to cross-reference to an entry on weaving with the
history of computing. The author of a computing article may know how
punch-cards evolved, a weaving expert may not be so aware), references
to external peer-review boards that have also rated this material, that
sort of thing.

So, yes, the physical XML file would be best auto-generated, but it
still requires humans to enter the values somehow.
