You've made an interesting point, which I suppose has
a lot of evidence in this list what with people
apologising for their poor grammar or english in
general. I suppose if somebody wanted their article to
be checked for grammatical and stylistic errors, such
an opportunity should be made to them, voluntary of
course as you noted.

Who would be the editors though? I suppose people who
have written articles that are very well done, and to
start with the more eloquent of us on the project? And
then once the "editor" has finished his corrections,
he should email the redone article to the author
before submitting it. This would make the submission
process a little more tricky though, but it needs
addressing.
