Details:

The libplot check in configure.ac will fail if other libraries need to be
linked in to make libplot work.  For example, on OpenBSD it appears that
libXaw, libXt, libXext, and libX11 must also be linked.

There is a libplot check at
https://subversion.imagemagick.org/subversion/wmf/trunk/acinclude.m4 that
appears to do something closer to what we should be doing, but it will need
some adaptation.
