Follow-up Comment #2, bug #17238 (project pspp):

>  To keep tests from failing after applying the patch, you need to also
apply the change to your installed "devices" configuration file.

This probably means that we ought to change the tests so that they use the
config directory of the tree under test instead of the user's.
