Follow-up Comment #4, bug #21590 (project pspp):
I committed the attached fix to the CVS tree, after verifying that it fixed
the problems on a Debian GNU/Linux powerpc machine. I also created a CVS
snapshot and uploaded it to alpha.gnu.org. It should soon be available as
<ftp://alpha.gnu.org/gnu/pspp/pspp-2007.11.25.tar.gz>. Joerg, would you mind
testing the snapshot or the CVS tree and letting me know whether it fixes your
problems?
