Details:
While configuring for building PSPP the system doesn't check the right
packages for cross-compiling. When cross-compiling there is a difference
between the situation on the local machine and the target machine. This seems
not to be handled that way. For instance readln is needed on the target, but
the system doesn't complain if it is on the local machine but not on the
target.
Perl is needed on the local machine but is not reported as a problem, but
this might be an unrelated issue.
I guess this report is a lot of work and solving it won't make much people
happy. So consider this as a reminder.
