Follow-up Comment #4, bug #26935 (project pspp):
This feature has been implemented in the "new" gui interface (available in the
pspp-sheet branch). The idea is that this will become the default
implementation (hopefully not too far off now).
In the meantime, you might like to try that and give us your opinion.
