Follow-up Comment #1, bug #40129 (project pspp):
This issue is mentioned in the FAQ. It arises because you are in a locale
(presumably French) which uses the comma as the decimal separator.
However, as suggested, I will change the example, so that it works for any
locale. Thanks for reporting this.
