This is better directed at address@hidden because it is (probably) not a
bug in pspp.
Pspp handles almost all character encodings. These type of issues usuaally
occur
when you have (either implicitly or explicitly told the system that the
data has one particular encoding, when, in fact it has another.
Perhaps you can post a sample of the input file which gives you problems,
and say how you are trying to view it, and where exactly do you see the
offending ???
