PSPP-BUG: PSPP FOR MAC 10.8

I am a TA for an introductory research/stats class at Michigan State 
University. We are using PSPP for some assignments. I've had no problem 
downloading it to my PC and the same seems to be true with class members.  
However, I have been struggling to successfully download PSPP on my Mac and 
many students are also having difficulty.

I have downloaded PSPP 0.10.1, rev 0 for OS X 10.8 (x86_640). I also have 
XQuartz 2.7.9 (xorg-server 1.17.4). 

After I download it, I get the message, "pspp-0.10.1-10.8.2.mpkg can't be 
opened because it is from an unidentified developer. Your security preferences 
allow installation of only apps from the Mac App Store and identified 
developers."

I have tried to provide for this specific program to be "allowed" but seem 
unable to do so.

I need some assistance please as I need to fix this for myself and about 60 
students.
