Since PSPP is free software, you have access to the source code. That means
you can be absolutely sure that the program is free of any malware, by
inspecting the source code, and satisfying yourself - using your own criteria -
that it is safe, secure and bug free.
Alternatively, if you do not have the necessary skills to do that, then you
can hire someone whom you trust, to do this for you.
In this respect, free software like PSPP has a distinct advantage over
proprietary software (such as Windows, Mac, SPSS etc) where you simply have to
blindly believe the supplier.
