Hey everybody,
(Using Linux Mint,) I've noticed that when typing something a slot of a
table, it isn't really there until one presses Tab, Enter or one of the arrow
keys. When only using PSPP, this doesn't really matter, but when switching
between programs (by pressing Alt+Tab for example) not only will the data in
that cell be lost, the user will need to re-select a cell.
I'm completely new to PSPP and don't know how this is handled in other
Software (such as SPSS), but as someone who is used to using Excel and Libre
Office, it was really jarring needing to re-type whatever I didn't submit by
pressing enter when switching to another window (to look up the values that I
need to type for example.
You don't mention which version of pspp you are using. But I suspect it
is an older version. If you use the most recent release (version 1.2)
then I think the sheet behaves somewhat differently - hopefully in a way
that you will approve of.
(also, no idea if this is the right place to mention this but in the
FAQ-"Can I use PSPP at school/college/university)"-section, a space is missing
between "software" and "package".)
Thanks for mentioning this. I have corrected it.
