With the git versions at
pspp: b92aaf901395c7257de (current master 11.5.2020)
ssw: ccfd68ff302bab44d43160 (current master - not fix-var-delete branch
11.5.20)
or
ssw: 26958acc364bdd2a8a7b25 (fix-var-delete patch)
On Debian bullseye and MacOS you can stall (endless loop) psppire
To reproduce:
1. Open psppire
2. From the menu choose (Edit -> Add variable), three times. Now you have
Var0001, Var0002 and Var0003.
3. Select Var0002 in Column1 (the variable name field)
4. Menu (Edit -> Add Variable)
=> Results in stall.
