Perhaps some examples to indicate the problem will be helpfull. Answer: a printscreen has been attached to indicate this. Students got confused because they missed Cramer's V in PSPP analyze > descriptives > crosstabs > stats. You could consider this as a textual bug. PSPP calculates both Phi and Cramer's V. However, in the cross tabs > stats > it only says Phi (selection of tests). Please change Phi to Phi and Cramer's V.
