Follow-up Comment #1, bug #66283 (group pspp):

Ideally, the expected result from preprocessing string catenation
might be two different catenated strings for translation, one for
MacOS, and the other for Windows. But that's not what xgettext is 
designed to do.

The natural way to use a single template is to use %s placeholder,
but that would require unnecessary change to call sprintf() just
for one case.

So, I think the proper way is to use separate full copy for
each platform.
