[Bug-gnu-radius] Q: why user name restriction? |

Hi!
Just a short question: Why are user profile names -- in the users
file -- restricted to contain only alphanumerics, -, _ and . ???
Is there any special reason for that? For instant, why is '@'
forbidden? Might it be extended?
<REM>
I'm asking that because I intend to change from another radius daemon
to gnu-radius. The old one allows '@', and many users profiles contain
a '@', f.i. "address@hidden" for some PPP callback.
It would be great if I might avoid addressing all users to make them
change their dialin/callback account names...
</REM>

Robert Wirth
