I've never sent in a bug report for software before so please be nice
if I break rules :)
I just installed gnu-radius on debian "woody" box. I found a few
errors in the documentation.
1. In the docs for using pam it says to use "Auth-Type=PAM". This
really needs to be Auth-Type=Pam. A couple of places in the docs
get this right though.
2. The default pam ID is radiusd not radius as indicated by the
docs. I lost some hair on this one (and I'm only 23).
3. Not a bug with the docs but the default client.conf is out of sync
with the server config. The default ports listsed in the default
client config uses the old radius ports (1645). I think they
should be the newer ones.
I am going to try out gnu radius, and if it works for my needs perhaps
I'll start maintaining a debian package for it. I really wish there
was one.
Thanks,
Greg
