As a follow up:
If I set the matchID and PositionID manually GNU recommends a very
different set of moves. One that makes much more sense to me!
Version is 0.16
And for those who saw a bunch of garbage in the email, that was the
attached sgf file.
If you play the sgf file you'll see gnu blows the decision.
