gnubg and Mac sonoma

Hello everyone,

    on DailyGammon a user asked how to get gnugb on macOS Sonoma.
I don’t own a Mac but MacPorts seemed promising, so I suggested that.

Long story short, compiling works, running gnubg command line works,
but there is *no* GUI shown. Here is the ticket:

Is there any Mac users running Sonoma here? Have you managed to get
gnubg working on your machine? Any help is appreciated
