Thanks a lot! With this, I could remove 5 .diff overrides from gettext's
gnulib-local.

I can't tell you now. First I'll change gnulib-tool's --create-testdir
to use non-default values of --source-base and --m4-base. We'll see
whether this chokes on the 'error' and 'obstack' modules.
