Disabling the longrunning checks reduced 'make check' time from around
100 minutes to 5 minutes. Still the majority of work is still in
gnulib-tool: around 8-9 hours.
There is a bunch of printf-failures in there that I don't recall, but
otherwise it pretty much looks like normal for cygwin.
