the privacy extension should show an alert every time a link in the page
is changed by javascript code, the risk in this case is that you get a
different page that the one you see in the status bar when the cursor is
on the link.
I have just noticed that this alert is not showed every time as it
should, I need to take a better look at this issue.

This page is used only to set a cookie. After the cookie is stored,
when you try to reload the first page you'll get a warning, that is
caused by the request of an image from a different host (using the
stored cookie).
