Could I get some clarification on whether there's any desire for an
acceptable version of my patch to allow libpcre to be linked at
run-time? If it's considered not suitable for upstream grep, then I'm
happy for patch #7017 to be closed in the tracker, for the
corresponding TODO to be deleted, and I can delete the git repo in
which I maintain this patch.
