Details:
doc/pic.ms says, "The closed-object modifier \fBsolid\fP is equivalent to
\fBfill\fP with the darkest fill value." This is in the "Filled Objects"
section (6.9) of the manual.
As Wim Stockman explains in
http://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/groff/2021-06/msg00010.html, "solid" is a
border style, not a filling. The examples upthread confirm that it does not
fill the object.
