append command like LILO

Hi,

I've got a VAIO FX301 and RedHat 7.3 and I can't reboot my laptop because it hangs at the SONY screen. I read in different newsgroup posts to correct this pb, I've to add the line append="bios" in the lilo configuration file, but it doesn't work with GRUB. Do you know a way to do this ?
