Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24250 (project grub):
This has been already reported on Debian BTS
http://bugs.debian.org/487445
Ubuntu has an old buggy grub2 you should always try current upstream SVN or
Debian sid/experimental version, on Debian we try hard to be up2date with
important bugfixes.
It would be nice if you could find out if Bean's commit has fixed the problem
on chainloading grub2 with grub-legacy.
