[bug #24368] allow update-grub to do not generate single-user entry if not desired

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #24368 (project grub):

There is a patch that allows to have multiple kernel entries with arbitrary
options:

Incorporating that patch or another that does a similar thing would be
awesome.
