how to post fixes/suggestions for GRUB

Let me start by saying that I am obviously late to the game and have a lot 
of catching up to do.  I have an urgent need to get GRUB working well on 
FreeBSD.  I have searched the archives and the bugs database (and yet 
managed to not read the INSTALL document at first) and have found answers to 
some of my questions, but not all.

I do not want to waste time of the people on this list, so the way I figure 
it I can.

1) just fix what I need and not bother to tell y'all

2) fix what I need and post my changes/issues here

3) look into becomeing a GRUB contributor.

At the moment, I would prefer doing 2) if that's ok.
