[bug #30143] loopback loop /xxx.iso and set root=(loop) causes the machine to reboot

Follow-up Comment #2, bug #30143 (project grub):

I have attached the requested rescue image.
rescue.iso was created with grub 1.98-1 from GRML-2010.04. (Which is
effectively the correspondent debian package.)
rescue2.iso was created with grub-1.98+20100614-2 from debian sid.

I can also reproduce the behavior with grub2-1.98-2.fc14 from Fedora
Rawhide.
