Follow-up Comment #6, bug #36490 (project grub):

I mean, would it be possible for you to do something like this:
dd if=/dev/sdXY bs=1M | xz > esp.xz
and send me esp.xz. Unfortunately the 32K weren't enough to reproduce the bug.
