Follow-up Comment #3, bug #40250 (project grub):
What does
grub-fstest /dev/sdaN ls -- -l /boot/grub/i386-pc
say? Looking at code I see one case when it may fail: dirent split across
bnodes. If that's the case this command would show corrupted names.
