[bug #44448] grub refuses to load (or recognize) a freebsd module -- "file not found"

Follow-up Comment #4, bug #44448 (project grub):

What special options for debug output could I use with grub-fstest? Because I
use (same as in my grub.cfg):
grub-fstest /dev/ada0p2 ls /ROOT/working/freebsd@/boot/kernel/zfs.ko
which behaves the same as in grub boot prompt.
