Follow-up Comment #6, bug #46826 (project grub):

I am afraid I am at a loss. I do not understand how this "device" could
appear. Device node clearly does not exist, it is not possible to "mount" it,
nor do I see it in (upstream) kernel source.

I would suggest creating a link /dev/cciss!c0d0p3 -> /dev/cciss/c0d0p3; does
it help?
