Had a look at the CVS code - indeed, it does look better now.

Seems to work OK. Please let me know if you make more changes - I'll
be curious to look at them. It's not like I know much about special
functions, but this project has made me curious about these :)
Also - I wanted to thank you for your work on gsl. I was quite
surprised when I was looking around for code I could use, and all I
could find first was math articles from 20 years ago with sample code
in fortran. Actually, even modern-day software like octave still uses
a fortran implementation they put into something they call 'libcruft' :)
So it's nice to see someone is making a more modern C implementation !
