Follow-up Comment #1, bug #42960 (project gsl):

The problem is a file race condition in the fwrite/fread and fwrite/fscanf
tests. These routines write a file called "test.dat" and "test.txt"
respectively, and the -j2 will cause 'test' and 'test_static' to read/write
the same files at the same time.

The fix is to convert this to use mkstemp instead of fixed filenames.
