Is there a way to analyze a file or a file system, reporting on compression
details (similar to gzip --list) without actually compressing the content?
I'd like to be able to some analysis on a large amount of unstructured data
and ultimately produce a report by file type of compression capabilities.
I'd like to do this without changing anything initially within the file
system.
Thanks!
