The --pause flag to boot is different from the filesystem's --boot-debug-pause.
That renaming is not right.
We should leave the setting of root-device and boot-args so you can
compatibly boot an old hurd with an old boot script as a sub-hurd.
What I meant about the kernel command line was just to add an option to
boot so you'd use --kernel-command-line='kernel -s root=blahblah'. What I
meant about boot's own arguments was, if that option was not given act as
if boot had been given --kernel-command-line='boot -s root=pseudo-root'
(where "boot" is its argv[0] and "-s" is bootstrap_args as presently parsed).
