Hi,
xterm is
-rwxr-sr-x 1 root utmp 218920 Aug 24 05:45 /bin/X11/xterm
and I can run it as a user without special privileges, which means
that the linker does honor the LD_LIBRARY_PATH variable.
I tried a suid xterm binary (owned by root), and this doesn't work.
LD_LIBRARY_PATH is be ignored.
It doesn't seem to be right that the variable is not ignored for
a sgid binary, although the behaviour is certainly convenient. :)
Same for rxvt etc. Am I correct that this is a bug?
Thanks,
Marcus
