Somebody did some work on it a while ago. I don't remember the
details, but there were some discussion on the lists (it should have
been this list but could have been debian-hurd or even help-hurd).
Check the archives. IIRC, it was refferred to as "sysv" shared
memeory, not "posix", which might help you search for it.
