That's nice to hear :-)
Can you tell us how people can help you? Testing? Bug reports? etc...
Yes, the easiest is just to use it. When there is a problem, I need to know how to reproduce it, or at least some clue (like backtracing) where can be the problem.
ext3fs is kind of experimental, still in alpha stage, and users won't benefit from it soon. For some reasons I'm totally forced to finish ext3fs (even in buggy state) as quickly as possible. This is my diplom thesis, and if things continue to go at this rate, I'll have to change it :-(What are the main problems?
My main problem is distraction with various other things not related to the diplom thesis. Second, this is quiet unusual project for me. I usually handle data structures and algorithms well, but here there is a lot of concurrency too, and I still haven't the complete picture of Linux jbd and ext3. There are more details I can add, but this is enough.
I don't really know how it works for diplom thesises, can we help a bit?
Probably later, with opinions about design, but not now.Current code can be checked out from http://svn.openfmi.net/projects/ext3fs/trunk . It's not compilable. The only interesting stuff for now is libscache (store cache), which should be usable.
